What is the name of this children's picture book?
The book was about a man spending the night alone in a cottage in the woods. A strange creature (who is not fully unveiled until the end) scratches on the roof and keeps him awake and scared. Until the end, only portions of the creature are shown, such as a raccoon tail. Does anyone know the name of the author and the title?
A lot of scary stories blend together...a lot of them have this sort of situation...
