Why do Christians hate the Wicca religion?
Wicca doesn't believe in a devil, doesn't believe in hurting anyone, is all about nature, and teaches its practitioners to do everything they can to better themselves. I don't see why Christians have such a problem with this. Is it the spells? Because spells are prayers with props. Is it the symbols? The pentacle is just a star--Christianity uses a star too (remember Christmas?). I just want to know why the hostility and hatred or such a beautiful, peaceful, loving religion...

They may have claimed to be Wiccan, but they're not really. Wiccans would never spill the blood of an innocent animal or desecrate anyone else's holy site.
Fear, Frosty. Plain and simple fear. The church has to control the masses...therefore they use fear. Wicca became a target of the church and the people were told it was evil. Most Christians are even afraid to learn what Wicca is about because religious leaders tell them that learning about it invites evil...'the Devil' in to your life. I have heard it said myself in church and I have argued the side of the Wiccan's with many Christians. I have challenged them to learn about the religion, THEN come back and 'argue' with me about it! None have. I am not Wiccan, but I have searched many belief systems because I am not content to believe just what I am told. True Wicca is a peaceful loving religion that believes we need to take care of the earth among other things.
