What can i do with my large uncut/unpolished slab of jade?
I have fairly large slab of jade, it is 51/2 inches long by 27/8 inches wide, and 1 inch thick. It has some raw material on it both sides, which are sandwiching the jade in the middle. Also on the bottom their is a very shiny type of clustering crystal which appears to be quartz. Can anyone tell me what this would be worth or what I can do with it? Can I polish it and how? I dont have a rock tumbler anymore and so is there anyway to give it to someone and tumble it. thanks.
Research local lapidaries. You could find a listing for an association, like the International Lapidary Association, or even a local rock club. They might know someone interested in your find, or give you the date and location of an upcoming show.
