What's the difference between the indigo children and A&E's psychic children?
Remember the new age craze about the indigo children that appeared on ABC news and in Doreen Virtue's books in 2005? They even made a movie about this subject.
Since then, the focus has moved onto A&E's psychic children which boasted high reviews the first season following a second season with the season premier next week.
My question is, have the indigo children fallen off the map? Or are they the same thing as the supposed psychic children on A&E?
Having been on 2 A&E shows, Psychic Children: Their Sixth Sense and the first Children of the Paranormal (Psychic Kids' Camp), I can tell you it is all one and the same. The term Indigo has gotten so far afield from its original definition (someone with a deep spiritual connection, thus psychic) that it is difficult to keep up with. I have read everything from they are computer kids to exalted beings, neither of which is true.
These children and adults (people with spiritual connections have been around since the beginning of time) are simply those who remember how to connect with their soul. Everyone can do this; many have simply forgotten because they were taught it was their imagination or even worse, the behavior of crazy people.
So I do not think anyone has fallen off the map, but rather the map shifts depending on who is defining the boundaries.
