i have a necklace with a quartz crystal. if i look inside the crystal, like in them iddle theres like a little scratchy scruffy area. idk if this is natural or not, but my cousin dropped it like a foot or so onto a glass table, and i didnt look at it until after this happened. so idk if this is cuz of him or a natural occurnce in the thing. what do u think
If it's inside the crystal, it's not likely gonna be a scratch but more likely another crystal that grew inside your quartz crystal. Rutile and tourmaline are both minerals that commonly occur within quartz crystals, and there are many other minerals that can occur within quartz crystals. Enjoy your stone

what kind of magic is in blue is for nightmares? I know it's not "wizardry" like in harry potter because it doesn't involve wands and all that, but she lights candles and uses stones like quartz, and burns different herbs, so what kind of magic is that? I dont think it's wicca. because she doenst seem to worship goddesses or anything like that.
Stacey DOES practice Wicca, she mentions it in the book. Also witchcraft runs in the family so shes a 'witch' by birth really. She does worships gods(which is my guess) because when she made the circle she asks 'Sacred Mother' for protection and guidance.
Does anyone use a quartz arrowhead for their pendulum tip?
I have been using one for several years and it seems to work very well. I tied a small piece of silver thread around it to form a loop so it will hang straight on a chain. I think the Earth Power it posseses comes from the fact that it was made by a person who knew more about nature than any modern crystal could obtain. Sort of a spiritual conection.
I think (based on my experience with pendulum work/dowsing -- a talent I inherited from my maternal grandmother) that the connection you have with the piece is the real reason you have the results you did rather than the maker's connection with the Earth energy.
I have been able to use pendulums of modern manufacture very efficiently. My connection to the pendulum is more likely to be affected by the material it is made from than WHO made it (I get better results from hematite than most quartz)
Anyone know where/how I can get my hands on some big samples of Quartz that I can dig myself?
It seems all the mines that allow you to rockhound only let you go through the trailings of their pit, which I doubt will yield the size quartz I am looking for.
Well that's for your own safety really, the tailings piles will usually have quite a few hidden gems (pun intended) as well, some of my best samples have come from those same piles. If you want really big quartz you'll need to go out further west, and even then it's gonna be tough to find, most people closely guard their rockhounding sites.
is it ok to cleanse my pendulums on amythest beads rather than a cluster ?
Ok, I have a strand of polished tumbled amethyst beads. The problem with them is this: I cannot get the sewing needle thru the hole of the bead, rendering them ( practically) useless.
Sooo, if I crochet a little basket, and place the crystals beads in it, can I use the beads as crystals,in cleansing my pendulums?
If you really need to cleanse an object, try a mixture of Frankincense and Benzoin 'raisin incense,' crush them, they are very good for just such a purpose.
