Instructions on how to get the Smoky Eye look!?
I need step-by-step, exact instrustions for the ansewer. I really need everything to be laied out for me. So I can read it and actually get the smokey eye..... So please if anyone can help i would really aprreciate it..... i basically need a Guide to getting Smokey Eyes for Dummies... lol once again thanks for all suggestions.
When I do the smokey eye, i like it toned down and just enough to give my eyes some definition. I only use 2 colours, a black and a white. Then I use a thick volumizing mascara and black liquid liner for my top eyelid and black pencil eyeliner for my bottom lashline and the waterline.
1: Apply white eyeshadow all over the eyelid.
2: Apply a small amount of black eyeshadow in the outer corner of the eyelid in a v shape inwards (kinda like > the left is white and the right side is black on the right eyelid) and blend it into the crease of your eyelid. If you want it smokier, just keep adding the black.
3: Use the liquid liner all the way from the inner corner of your eyelid and move it all the way to the other end. I like it thicker on the outside and really thin on the inner corner.
4: Take the pencil liner and apply it all over your water line, and then use the same pencil eyeliner and smudge it in between your bottom lashes from the outer corner up until you are about 3/4 of the way in. Again, I like it thicker on the outer corner.
5: Take the mascara, tip your head back and wave the wand through as many times as you wish to get the volume you want. If you have really good mascara, then you'll only need two layers max. Let the mascara dry between applications. Use the tip of your wand and apply some on your bottom lashes.
I don't think the look's complete unless you do the rest of your face so I like using a cream blush and nude/beige/light pink lip gloss, depending on your outfit to complete the look.
Also, I never use my finger, because it doesn't give you a smooth even look, and use the sponge tip applicator only if you don't have any other choice. The fine brushes are great. I like MAC's bristle quality. They are easy to use but any drug store brand eye makeup brushes should be fine too.
