my renault megane 11 sometimes loses power and cuts out when i start it up, ater i rev it, all apears tobe ok?
After ive revved it for a min or so, it drives fine, there is also a noise coming from near the alternator when i accelerate. Renault said to put it onto one of there diagnostic but it doesnt do it all the time and ive checked it on my friends diagnostic tester. No one seems to know what it is without spending lots of money by taking it to the garage. Its a megane, 53 plate, 76k miles.
Any help would be appreciated

Idle air control valve may be the problem and a quick clean up might do it- worth a try no guarantees.
