If I'm going from dyed black hair to a dark red, what volume developer do I use?
I'm in the process of slowly stripping the black dye out of my hair by adding bleach to my shampoo and then super conditioning it, because I want to go to a dark auburn. Once I lift most of the color out of my hair, what level of developer will I need to use with Miss Clairol 203RR - Reddest Mahogany Red?
Also, do you have any tips to get the best all over color?

use 10, or 5 if you can find it. since your soap-capping it, it's lightening your hair that way. the developer just helps open the cuticle and lighten it more. (the higher the number, the faster it opens) if you're going a dark red, you just want to deposit color. that's why a lower developer would work.
