Can a mineral specimen comprise more than one crystal type?
Is it possible for a mineral specimen to contain more than one crystal class types? Eg Two different orhorhombic crystal types as part of the same mineral. Or a orthorhombic and isometric crystals for instance as part of the same specimen?Any help gladly appreciated.
absolutely, look up oikocrysts and poikilitic inclusions. the oikocryst is a crystal containing an earlier formed mineral/crystal. the inclusions are called poikilitic inclusions.
